NicoleMuniz A lot of interest has been coming in on how the process and milestones are made relevant and apply to banner jobs. My thinking is that there isn't necessarily a huge gap, if any gap at all.
The Process Milestones basically outline the Topline development process. Each job should have a specified development schedule that defines in detail each deliverable.
For instance, if you are working on executing a Rich Media Banner Execution, below might be some steps that are included within that production. Assuming that Phases 1 and 2 of the process are completed and that the project has been awarded...
3. Consolidation Pre-Production: For Banner Specific jobs, Pre-Production consists mostly of Technical Specifications. It is important to be completely aligned on the Lowest Common Denominator of Deliverables and all specs. (Media Buy should have been available pre-Award).
Prototyping: We recommend, not always mandatory, that the developer(s) have an opportunity to run prelimenary tests within the Rich Media Compionent working environment to confirm that the Creative/Concept is Production-ready. Questions here can range from Compression standards to k size limitations.
Feedback: Feedback is a Milestone in which, Client and Production Partners, can review the Pre-Prodction/Prototyping Learning's and make sure that they are moving forward into full development together.
So on and so forth...
During the last Phase, 4. Realization, the Offline and Online Mtgs are still key milestones where Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Final Reviews take place.
The addition I would make for Banner Deliveries is that this process/milestones would be applicable against an initial unit. Delivery would then consist of Re-sizing once an approved unit is ready to go.
